Cairo: Authorities in the Saudi holy city of Medina have closed 73 retail establishments for failing to comply with the fitness precautions that oppose the new coronavirus.
The closures brought here a crusade through the city’s municipal government in department stores and food markets to make some compliance with preventive measures, Saudi news firm SPA reported.
Field groups also collected 479 food samples for laboratory analysis to ensure they are safe for human consumption. A total of 2,100 litres of disinfectants were used in on-site inspections of disinfection facilities, according to the report.
The municipality of Medina said it would continue inspection visits and suggested members of the public report violations of the 940 hotline.
In recent weeks, Saudi Arabia has eased many restrictions similar to coronaviruses. But the government has warned that they oppose infringement measures in a position to oppose the spread of the virus.
The kingdom has reported a total of 278,835 cases of viruses and 2,917 similar deaths.
