7 regions of Kazakhstan on typhoon alert

ASTANA. KAZINFORM – Meteorologists have put seven regions of the country on typhoon alert, Kazinform quoted the Kazhydromet National Weather Service as saying.

Fog is expected to cover the south and mountainous areas of the Zhambyl region on January 12 and 13. A wind of 15 to 20 mps from the northwest is expected turning northeast in the mountainous areas of the region. The region wants to prepare for temperatures of -30 to 33 degrees Celsius at maximum spaces on the night of January 12 to thirteen.

The mountainous and southern areas of the Zhetysu region are worth expecting fog on the afternoon of January 12. A northeast wind of 18-23mps is forecast reaching 23-28mps in the southeast of the region. Gusts of up to 30mps and more are expected at night.

The Mangistau region has to prepare for temperatures of -19 to 24 degrees Celsius in the northeast at night. A southeast wind of 17 to 22 mps is expected to hit the region to the west, south and center.

Falling snow on the ground is expected to hit the southern region of Pavlodar. The southwest wind is expected to blow 15 to 20 mp in the south of the region.

The north, east and south of the northern region of Kazakhstan expect a floor blizzard. A westerly wind of 15 to 20 MP is forecast in the north, east and south.

Most of the Turkestan region will see temperatures drop to -27 degrees Celsius on January 12 and 13.

The city of Shymkent is expected to have temperatures of -25 degrees Celsius on January 12 and 13.
