62,064 new COVID-19 instances exceed 22 lakh; recoveries are successful in more than 15.35 lakh

The number of new coronaviruses in India surpassed the mark of 22 lakh on Monday with 62064 new cases, while recoveries rose to more than 15.35 lakh, the ministry of fitness said. The number of deaths from the pathogen amounted to 44,386 with another 1,007 deaths, according to ministry data.

There are 6,34,945 active coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The total number of coronavirus is now 2215,074, he said.

COVID-19 recoveries in India have reached the “historic peak” of 1.5 million with the recovery of 15,35,743 patients that was conceivable through the policy of “aggressive testing, comprehensive follow-up and effective treatment,” the ministry of fitness said in a statement.

“The best ambulance services, the quality of care and the use of non-invasive oxygen have yielded the desired results,” the ministry said.

With the highest recovery recorded in one day, with 54,859 in the last 24 hours, the recovery rate peaked at nearly 70%, he said.

Record recovery rates have reduced the percentage of active instances and lately account for 28.66% of positive instances overall.

Coordinated efforts through the Center and state governments/UT on early detection through competitive testing and effective clinical control of hospitalized cases have produced effects with a declining jurisprudence rate, which is now 2% and is declining, the ministry said.

Early identification of instances also led to a sharp drop in active instances, he said.

“Early identity guarantees and isolation of mild and moderate instances and hospitalization of severe and critical instances, leading to effective case management,” the ministry said.

It is vital to note that COVID-19 infection is still concentrated in 10 EU states and territories that contribute to more than 80% of new cases, he said.

Aggressive testing and monitoring through door-to-door investigations and well-implemented containment and surveillance methods in those spaces can lead to initial accumulation in positive cases, but well-implemented methods will cause the number of cases to decrease over time, the ministry said.

This is the fourth day in a row that COVID-19 has more than 60,000.

Up to 4,77,023 samples were analyzed on Sunday, bringing the total to 2,45,83,558, according to the Indian Medical Research Council.

Of the additional 1007 deaths, 390 are from Maharashtra, 119 from Tamil Nadu, 107 from Karnataka, 97 from Andhra Pradesh, 54 from West Bengal, 41 from Uttar Pradesh, 24 from Gujarat and Punjab, 22 from Jharkhand, 19 Madhya Pradesh and thirteen from Delhi, Odisha and Jammu and Kashmir.

Eleven deaths were reported in Rajasthan, 10 in Telangana, Haryana, 8 in Uttarakhand, seven in Chhattisgarh and Pondicherry, five in Bihar and Assam, 3 in Goa, two in Kerala, one in Tripura, Himachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Chandigarh.

Out of a total of 44,386 deaths, Maharashtra reported a maximum of 17,757, followed by 4,927 in Tamil Nadu, 4,111 in Delhi and 3,198 in Karnataka.

There were 2,652 deaths in Gujarat, 2,069 in Uttar Pradesh, 2,059 in West Bengal, 2,036 in Andhra Pradesh and 996 in Madhya Pradesh.

A total of 789 people died in Rajasthan as a result of the pandemic, followed by 637 in Telangana, 586 in Punjab, 483 in Haryana and 472 in Jammu and Kashmir.

There were 387 deaths from COVID-19 in Bihar, 272 in Odisha, 177 at Jharkhand, in Assam, 125 at Uttarakhand, 108 in Kerala.

Chhattisgarh recorded deaths, followed by 87 at Pondicherry, 75 in Goa, 42 in Tripura and 25 in Chandigarh.

The Andaman and Nicobar Islands reported 20 deaths, Himachal Pradesh 15, Manipur 11, Ladakh and Nagaland eight.

There were six coronavirus deaths in Meghalaya and 3 in Arunachal Pradesh, while Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu reported two and Sikkim one.

The Ministry of Health noted that more than 70 agrees with one percent of comorities deaths.

“Our figures are being reconciled with the Indian Medical Research Council,” the ministry said, adding that the distribution of the figures across the state theme for additional verification and reconciliation.
