It’s transparent that the plans are a little different this year. But that didn’t stop us from dreaming about our next vacation in Spain.
The Mediterranean country has been a favorite among travelers. Sometimes it is affordable and there is everything for everyone: beautiful beaches, several popular islands (here we show you how to make a decision about which Canary Island is ideal for a socially remote holiday when the time comes), national parks, hiking sites, delicious cuisine, affordable cultural landmarks and more.
In fact, there are parts of Spain that remain largely unexplored by travelers. Then, instead of visiting popular places like Benidorm, Barcelona, Mallorca or one of the Canary Islands, choose one of those wonderful Spanish destinations. And don’t forget: many of these areas, especially the most south, enjoy warm and summery temperatures until November and the sun all year round. So, if you can’t jump during the classic summer months, you can still enjoy Spain’s mild climate until early or even after autumn.
Environment: La Vera is a small region with a Mediterranean microclimate among some national parks in rural Extremadura. While Extremadura is dry, La Vera is a small green oasis that receives more rain and is therefore green and beautiful. It is the best Angelesce plos for travelers looking for an herbal getaway for walking, canoeing, horseback riding and pool diving; don’t expect primary urban centers or giant hotel brands here. Plos Angelesn to stay in the cozy guest houses of the vile Angelesge or in the historic Parador of Jarandillos Angels angels Vera, a hotel in an old castle.
Start by visiting some of the nearest villages such as Olla Gorge, a network of red roofs nestled in a green and fertile valley. You can see the village below from above in la Serrana. La Vera is not close to the beach, but has herbal pools. Immerse yourself in the Main Gorge, with a series of small waterfalls. Closer to Gredos National Park, the swimming pond of the Alardos Gorge is located under a Roman bridge. It is also worth visiting the Monastery of Yuste in the region, with perfectly manicured gardens, two cloisters and a church.
South of La Vera, Monfrage National Park is identified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. You can choose from several hiking trails and bird watching trails (and even a castle), however, the View of the Gypsy Leap offers amazing perspectives of the surrounding mountains and the Tagus River below, and you’ll probably see wild vultures spinning up. Don’t leave La Vera without trying the very spicy paprika (the famous chili de la vera) that is grown in the region.
Nearest airport: Madrid (MAD) is about two and a half hours by car. Salamanca (SLM) and Badajoz (BJZ) are also airports of choice within a few hours’ drive.
Environment: Couples and families who want to live a dream island where they delight deserve to move to Menorca. Hidden coves, stunning sunsets and crystal clear waters abound. The least populated of the main Balearic Islands (Ibiza, Menorca, Mallorca), Menorca overlooks the festive fashion scene of Ibiza or the accessibility of Mallorca.
Mahón, the capital of the island, is the most productive position to enjoy as many amenities as possible: you can from a variety of hotels and culinary options. But renting a car to explore the island is critical. The most productive points of Menorca are when you leave the network, so get ready to take an unknown turn and see where it takes you. Overall, it is an abandoned beach with stunning beauty.
And with many beaches around the island, it’s more productive to stop at another every day. The white sand and crystal clear waters of Calas Macarella and Macarelleta are beautiful but can be busy in the high season, so it is more productive to stop at them for months like September or October. If you are willing to go hiking to notice a quieter beach, the adventure to Cala Escorxada lasts just under an hour.
Although Menorca is the quietest sister compared to Ibiza and Mallorca, this does not mean that you lack absolutely functions in terms of cocktails, music and entertainment. Some of the most productive sunset sessions in the Balearic Islands can be discovered in the Cueva d’en Xoroi, a rock-built bar/club overlooking the sea.

Environment: Travelers who need the complete pack: mountains, beaches, gastronomic experiences, culture, villages, rural getaway and beyond, all in the northern region of Spain from Asturias.
We start on the east coast of the province in the Sierra de los Picos de Europa, which is located on the border between Asturias and Cantabria (then we will reach this region). Walk through the chilling landscapes of Los Angeles and the steep waterfalls to Covadonga Lakes, Lake Enol and Lake Ercina. Then, the pink monastery with the best mountain scenery, the Baslica de Santa Maria los Angeles Real and the waterfall and the sacred cave nearby.
Then you should head up and along the coast. Culture lovers may have to stay in major cities such as Gijón or Oviedo (far south) to see the monuments, botanical gardens and museums of the sixteenth century. Or, for a slower pace, enjoy the scenery through prevention in small fishing villages such as Llanes, Colunga, Cudillero or Ribadesella for cider (an apple cider drink served with a lot of distinction) and a classic fabada (a white bean stew) for lunch.
You’ll find captivating beaches in each and every corner, but local favorites come with Playa del Silencio and Cuevas del Mar Beach, which feature karst rock formations steep in the sand and water. Gulpiyuri is one of the region’s exclusive beaches, a flooded abyss shaped like a covered beach.

Environment: everyone loves Andalusia: its captivating cities, passionate culture and beautiful beaches are a deep argument for almost every type of traveler. But there are many opportunities for the intense summer heat of Seville or the bustling beaches of Marbella and Malaga. Tarifa is a trendy and bohemian-chic beach that radiates an Ibizan atmosphere combined with this Andalusian charm. Surfers will love wind conditions, which also allow beach lovers to feel like new in the hot summer. The beach town is close to many other popular coastal spaces for a variety of sun and sand features and the picturesque city of Cadiz is also nearby if you want some action or culture.
For those who need to head to the Angelesnd, the largest and busiest angels and head to a vile angelesge instead to enjoy Andalusian life in a small town. There is the white vile angeles of Arcos de los Angeles Frontera, perched on a hill (which made the TPG list of the charming villos angelesges of Europe) and Mijas Pueblo, which is one of the top charming angels of the Costa del Sol. . Mojácar is closer to Almería and is located between Sierra Cabrera and the Mediterranean Sea.
Ronda is one of the most prominent white villages, unless it is not a village, it is much larger. But it is ancient, the village still oozes the same white village charm and it is no wonder that Ronda was one of Ernest Hemingway’s favorite places at the time. The city’s grand gorge is Ronda’s fame and connects the oldest component of the city with the fashionable component through a magnificent bridge. Walking through the old town and the bridge, you will pass through some viewpoints that offer surprising perspectives of the gorge and beyond.
Nearest airport: San Pablo Sevilla Airport (SVQ).
Environment: Known as Cantabria blue and green (blue and green), Cantabria is completed with two colors: green thanks to its abundant plants and blue thanks to its waves that break in the Cantabrian. Those who hate the intense warmth will love a holiday in Cantabria, where the air and water temperatures are much cooler than those of many nearby Mediterranean neighbors such as Valencia or Malaga.
A to the Natural Park of Oyambre combines the green and blue tones of the region. Explore the park’s cliffs, forests and rivers or stroll through the sand dunes. Finish on one of the park’s incredibly picturesque beaches, such as Oyambre Beach, where it turns out that the sand is melting with the tide.
Change speed by stopping by stopping by the village of Comillas, which houses a summer palace built by the famous architect Anton-Gaudi El Capricho. You can enjoy the colorful tiled turrets without the crowds that attract the Sagrada Familia and Barcelona’s Park guell. Then you need to explore the 11 km Broken Coast, a coastal beach and rocky direction that can be traced back to the Ice Age. The geological formations combined with the green countryside and the magnificent ocean are simply spectacular. The address starts at the beach of La Magdalena de Santander and ends at the beach from Cucha to Mienpass. And no vacation in Cantabria is complete without a stopover in the Caves of Altamira, where you can see prehistoric cave paintings of more than 14,000 years.

Spain is a popular holiday destination with travelers, and for good reasons. But there’s probably more to explore than you possibly already know, especially if you’re moving socially and have a little more area to move around. From the hidden beaches of Menorca to the white villages of Andalusia and the green hills of Asturias, Spain has the best holiday destination for you.
