MANILA, Philippines – The Ministry of Health (DOH) unveiled 4,339 new coronavirus disease 2019 novelties on Thursday, bringing the number in the country to 178,022.
A total of 61,025 instances are active, DOH said.
The majority of 91.3% of total cases had mild symptoms of the disease, 6.6% are asymptomatic, 1.2% are critical and 0.6% are severe.
91 duplicates of the total number of instances were removed, of which 43 recovered instances were deleted.
In addition, 51 cases in the past reported as cured, but after the final validation, this was 50 deaths and one active case.
“These numbers are being erased and validated,” the DOH said.
