The number of COVID-19 cases in India exceeded 88 lakh, while the number of other people recovering from the disease exceeded 82 lakh, bringing the national healing rate to 93. 09%, according to the knowledge of the Union Ministry of Health updated on Sunday.
The total number of cases increased to 88,14,579 with 41,100 infections reported in a day, while the death toll rose to 1,29635 with 447 new deaths, according to reportedly updated at 8 a. m.
The number of active instances remained below five lakh for the fifth consecutive day.

The number of active COVID-19 instances in the country is 4,79,216, representing a 5. 44 consistent with the percentage of the total number of instances, based on the data.
Total recoveries above 82,05,728, bringing the national recovery rate to 93. 09 consistent with percent, while the 1. 47 mortality rate is consistent with percent.
India’s COVID-19 count had passed the mark of 20 lakh on 7 August, 30 lakh on 23 August and 40 lakh on 5 September. 80 lakh on 29 October.

The 447 new deaths occur with 105 in Maharashtra, 96 in Delhi, 53 in West Bengal, 27 in Uttar Pradesh and 26 in Kerala.
A total of 1,29635 deaths have been reported in the country due to the disease, with Maharashtra accounting for the highest number of 45,914, followed by Karnataka (11,508), Tamil Nadu (11,466), West Bengal (7,610) and Delhi. (7,519), Uttar Pradesh (7,354), Andhra Pradesh (6,854), Punjab (4,428) and Gujarat (3,797).
The ministry noted that more than 70% of deaths are due to comobility.
“Our figures are reconciling with the Indian Medical Research Council,” the ministry said on its website, adding that state distribution of figures is a matter of verification and reconciliation. Pti
