WINNIPEG – Four new probable COVID-19 (coronavirus) were reported in Manitoba on Tuesday, bringing the provincial total to 562.
Health officials say there are 194 cases active, another 360 people have recovered and five others are in the hospital, adding 3 in the intensive care unit. Eight other people died from the virus.
Tuesdays include:
3 new cases in prairie Mountain Health’s domain: one in his 20s and two 30-year-olds, a new case in the domain of Winnipeg, a boy in his 20s.
Test figures show that another 1,059 laboratory tests were performed on Monday, bringing the total number of tests from early February to 104,841.
Another COVID-19 check will open in Brandon on Wednesday, August 12 at the Keystone Center.
Opening hours will be:
Monday through Thursday, 8:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. – Friday and Saturday, 8:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. – Sunday from 8:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Public fitness officials are updating data on possible exposure to COVID-19 in the past announced on August 1 at a Tim Hortons eating spot on the Trans-Canada Highway at 18th Street in Brandon. Additional exhibitions would also be held on 3 and 4 August. Although the transmission threat is considered low, data is provided to help others assess their threat.
Anyone involved about your exposure or threat of having COVID-19 no longer has to call Health Links – Health Info to get tested. Anyone with symptoms is encouraged to use the online screening tool to find out if they meet the criteria for making a stop at a network test site.
