Dubai: The Ministry of Health of Saudi Arabia reported 1,413 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours on Saturday, bringing the total number of infections shown in the Kingdom to 297315.
The ministry said 31 patients had died as a result of the headaches caused by the infection, raising the number of deaths related to the virus in the Kingdom to 3369.
Meanwhile, the total number of recoveries in Saudi Arabia increased to 264,487 after another 1,528 people recovered.
According to the ministry, a total of 76 new cases were reported in Khamis Mushait, while another 68 people tested positive in Dammam and 65 tested positive in Mecque.La capital of Riyadh experienced a sharp decline with only 59 new infections in the last 24. The ministry also said Saudi Arabia is one of the first countries in the world to provide laboratory tests for coronavirus and had so far introduced 50 laboratories and specialized equipment across the country.
As a component of the ministry’s efforts to accentuate the Kingdom’s trials, designated centres in Tetamman have been introduced where no appointment is required.
Driving control centres have also been established throughout the KINGDOM to have more checks to involve the spread of the coronavirus, the ministry said.
