A Brazilian influencer and TV star has died at the age of 29 after undergoing liposuction surgery.

The outlet reported that approximately two and a half hours after surgery began at the São Luiz hospital on Monday, Andrade went into cardiac arrest and was transferred to the intensive care unit, but died on Tuesday morning.
“Patient Luana Andrade, accompanied by her family, was admitted to the unit on Monday afternoon for a liposuction procedure, performed by a personal surgeon and an anesthesiologist hired by the family,” the hospital said in a statement, according to Globo 1.

Andrade, who had 558,000 fans on Instagram, is known for starring in season 6 of the Brazilian reality show Power Couple with her boyfriend João Hadad, according to the outlet.
Following her death, Hadad posted a heartbreaking tribute to her friend of two years on social media.
“I’m devastated and living my worst nightmare. A part of me is gone,” Hadad shared in an Instagram translation alongside a black-and-white photo of the couple walking hand-in-hand in Paris.
