2 partners from Calgary organizations to host event for the city’s most vulnerable

A new effort took a stand Friday at the community’s vulnerable maximums.

Two Calgary organizations, Our Collective Journey and Oxford House Foundation, welcomed many others to the Knox United Church gymnasium.

Attendees received music, a hot meal and bags full of mittens, gloves, hats, hand and resources from the network on addictions.

The purpose of offering a night of joy before Christmas and showing that there are other people who care.

One of the party’s organizers, himself homeless for seven years, said increased efforts and commitment to helping the city’s most vulnerable can reduce homelessness.
