Today, there are two COVID-19s in controlled isolation to report in New Zealand.
Of today’s cases, both are imported cases detected in a controlled isolation facility. A user arrived on a flight from Germany on September 21, the United Arab Emirates and Malaysia.
The other positive user arrived in New Zealand on a flight from the Philippines to Taiwan on September 23. Both Americans tested positive after testing around the third day and have now been transferred to the Auckland Quarantine Center.
There is no new case in the community.
In the updates, all passengers on the Christchurch-Auckland charter flight were tested.
Of the markings, all the effects are negative, adding up the result of yesterday’s pending check which came back negative today.
The remaining passenger is a small child. A threat assessment, adding a negative verification of the child’s father, made us think that the child is considered a low threat and that lately no verification is required.
There are 22 other people who are isolated at the Auckland quarantine facility in the community, which includes 10 other people who tested positive for COVID-19 and their circle of family contacts.
A user is in the hospital with COVID-19 at Middlemore Hospital. The patient is isolated in a room.
