India saw a surge of 197 new coronavirus infections in a single day with active cases dropping to 2,309, according to Union Health Ministry data updated on Thursday.
The overall count of Covid instances was recorded at 4. 46 crore (4. 46. 80,583).
The total number of deaths is 5,30,723 with one death recorded in Kerala, according to data updated at 8 a. m.
Daily positivity was recorded at 0. 10%, while the weekly positivity rate was set at 0. 11%.
Active instances account for 0. 01% of total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has risen to 98. 80%, according to the Ministry of Health’s website.
A minimum of 33 cases were recorded in the number of active COVID-19 cases in the space of 24 hours.
The number of other people who recovered from the infection increased to 4,41,47,551, while the case fatality rate was recorded at 1. 19%.
According to the ministry’s website, 220. 15 crores of doses of covid vaccine have been administered in the country as part of the national vaccination campaign against covid-19.
The COVID-19 count in India had crossed the mark of 20 lakh on 7 August 2020, Rs 30 lakh on 23 August, Rs 40 lakh on 5 September and Rs 50 lakh on 16 September 2020.
It reached the grim milestone of two million rupees on 4 May 2021 and 4 crore on 25 January 2022.
