Since 2016, the SDG Media Zone has been one of the main parts of major UN events, along with the UN General Assembly High-Level Week, the UN Youth Forum and the UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development. leaders, influencers, activists, experts, content creators, and media partners to highlight movements and responses to the Sustainable Development Goals.

Organized through the United Nations Department of Global Communications, in collaboration with the PVBLIC Foundation, the SDG Media Zone brings verbal exchange about advancing the 2030 Agenda from the political sphere to public discourse through in-depth and impactful interviews and verbal exchanges on global issues that matter to others around the world.

Small Island Developing States (SIDS) are caught in the crossfire: climate change, the economic and social effects of COVID-19, and the debt crisis. Global lockdowns have hampered efforts to invest in the Sustainable Development Goals.   In the face of escalating global crises, SIDS are on the frontline.

The Fourth International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS4) will take place from 27 to 30 May 2024 in St John’s, Antigua and Barbuda. Under the overarching theme “Charting a Path to Resilient Prosperity”, the Conference will assess SIDS’ capacity for sustainable development, adding to the 2030 Agenda and their sustainable development, and propose a new decade of partnerships and responses to bring their path to resilient prosperity to life. prosperity.

The SIDS4 SDG Media Zone will highlight opportunities to drive sustainable progress in SIDS regions and efforts towards a more resilient future. Conversations in the Zone will address some of the themes of the conference, adding finance for progress, climate change and youth engagement.
