Coronavirus cases in Nigeria (COVID-19) reached 59,127, while the Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) recorded 126 new infections in the country.
The NCDC did so on its official Twitter account on Friday.
Nigerian news firm (NAN) reports that since the outbreak began in the country in February, more than 520,797 samples have been tested through the firm.
The fitness firm said that with the latest update on the new coronavirus in Nigeria, the number of other people inflamed in the country is now 59127.
The NCDC discharged 141 patients from isolation centers across the country.
He said new cases had been reported in the states and territory of the federal capital.
The public fitness firm said Lagos state had the number of cases at 62, while Rivers, Ogun, Plateau and FCT had 22, 9, 7 and 7 cases, respectively.
Among the states were; Osun-5, Kwara-5, Taraba-3, Bayelsa-2, Abia-2, Zamfara-1 and Imo-1.
As of October 2, 2020, there have been 126 new cases shown and 0 deaths in the country.
“To date 59,127 have been confirmed, 50,593 have been released and 1,112 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the territory of the federal capital,” he said.
The public fitness firm said a National Multisectoral Emergency Operations Center (NSC), activated at Level 3, continued to coordinate the national reaction across the country.
Meanwhile, the fitness firm said Nigerians can prevent COVID-19 by knowing the symptoms and symptoms, which include; Fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, sore throat, new loss of taste and / or odor (NAN)
