Dubai: Kuwait’s Interior Ministry has arrested 12 other expatriates for engaging in prostitution, stemming from its ongoing crackdown, local media reported.
Prostitution in Kuwait is illegal and most of the other people interacting in this industry are foreign nationals. The government deports prostitutes or has them sign a “good conduct agreement” before their release.
Article 201 of the Kuwaiti Penal Code prohibits forced prostitution; the consequences are imprisonment of up to five years or a fine for forced prostitution of adults, and seven years’ imprisonment and a fine for forced prostitution of persons under 18 years of age.
Meanwhile, in Ahmadi, a fake guy arrested after being convicted of robbery. Also in the same area, a guy dressed in women’s clothing arrested at a shopping mall while looking to borrow an item from a jewelry store.
