The COVID-19 count in India surpassed the 12 lakh mark on 23 July with a single-day peak of 45720 new cases, while the death toll increased to 2,9861 with a record 1,129 deaths in 24 hours, according to the Union’s knowledge. Ministry of Health.
The country crossed the mark of 12 lakh, 3 days after crossing the mark of 11 lakh.
The number of coronavirus cases in the country rose to 12,38,635 on Thursday, while 7,82,606 other people have so far recovered in the country, according to knowledge updated at 8 a.m.
There are 4,26,167 active coronavirus infection actives lately in the country.
About 63.18% of other people have recovered so far.
Maharashtra (10576), Tamil Nadu (5849), Karnataka (4764), Uttar Pradesh (2300), West Bengal (2291), Telangana (1554), Bihar (14 17), Ass Delhi (1227), Odisha (1,078), Kerala (1,038) and Gujarat (1,020) contributed about 75% of the day of 45,720.
Of the 1,129 deaths reported in the last 24 hours, 518 are from Tamil Nadu, 280 from Maharashtra, from Andhra Pradesh, 55 from Karnataka, 39 from West Bengal, 34 from Uttar Pradesh, 29 From Delhi, 28 from Gujarat, 14 from Madhya Pradesh and 10 from Jammu and Kashmir.
Telangana and Jharkhand reported nine deaths in a row by Haryana with 8 deaths, Assam, Punjab and Rajasthan six, Array Odisha five, Goa and Uttarakhand two, while Kerala, Pondicherry, Tripura and Chandigarh recorded a death.
The number of COVID-19 screening tests has a mark of 15 million rupees in the country.
According to ICMR, a cumulative total of 1,50,75,369 samples were analysed until 22 July with 3,50,823 samples analysed on Wednesday.
Of the 29861 deaths reported to date, Maharashtra leads with 12556 deaths, followed by Delhi with 3719 deaths, Tamil Nadu 3144, Gujarat 2224, Karnataka 1519, Uttar Pradesh 1263, West Bengal 1221, Andhra Pradesh 823 and Madhya Pradesh 770.
So far, another 583 people were killed by COVID-19 in Rajasthan, 438 in Telangana, 372 in Haryana, 273 in Jammu and Kashmir, 269 in Punjab, 217 in Bihar, 108 in Odisha, 64 in Assam and Jharkhand each, 57 in Uttarak and forty-five in Kerala.
Pondicherry recorded 31 deaths, Chhattisgarh 29, Goa 28, Chandigarh 13, Himachal Pradesh 11, Tripura 9, Meghalaya 4, Arunachal Pradesh 3, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu and Ladakh reported two deaths each.
The Ministry of Health noted that more than 70 agrees with the percentage of comorities deaths.

Odisha reported 19,835 infections, Jammu and Kashmir 15,711, Kerala 15,032, while Punjab had 11,301 cases.

“Our figures are being reconciled with ICMR,” the ministry said, adding that state distribution is a matter of verification and reconciliation.
