The Sudima Christchurch Airport Hotel is used as a controlled quarantine and isolation facility, welcoming newcomers as they go through its 14-day isolation period.
The Ministry of Health showed that 11 positive results had been obtained in the control of Covid-19 and that another 14 cases were being investigated.
“As the investigation progresses, those numbers may change. For example, some cases can also be classified as historical,” a spokesman told 1 NEWS.
“All applicable public aptitude measures are being taken. In institutions, strict infection prevention and processes are followed to minimize the dangers to the public and staff. “
Sudima’s lead officer, Les Morgan, told 1 NEWS that they had been alerted this afternoon.
“Early in the afternoon, MBIE contacted the hotel to alert us to a number of possible cases of Covid virus at the hotel,” he says.
The hotel, which is close to Christchurch Airport, has been blocked.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Fitness said the organization was the only other people left on the premises and that the instances were collected with normal control of Covid-19 on the third day.

“This is one of our border controls functioning as they should. “
Some 240 fishermen are at the hotel after arrival on Friday. They were brought through Independent Fisheries, Sealord and Maruha Nichiro to paintings on corporate fishing boats.
Sealord executive leader Doug Paulin said he was granted border exemptions as critical workers.
“Qualified and experienced fishing crews are rare in New Zealand. Despite rising unemployment, kiwis remain reluctant to take on sailing tasks,” he says.
“Sealord manages recruitment processes and plans to accentuate them in collaboration with the government. “
The paintings include a six-month fishing of deep-sea species, adding mackerel, squid, barracuda and southern bacaladilla.
“Sealord will pay the same amount according to the user as any non-New Zealand in controlled isolation, in services in Christchurch and Auckland. “
Paulin told 1 NEWS that he had confidence in the control of the Ministry of Health.
“I think this is additional proof that government coverage at the border is fantastic,” he said.
“And if you look at the rest of the world, I think we can say with certainty, given the story and even what happened here, that new Zealand’s technique is his kind. “
He says 110 members of Sealord’s team are in Sudima and the rest will come from fishing companies.
For Sudima, Morgan says he’ll be involved but they’re “relaxed about any threat to Array. “
“They are taking every precaution imaginable and there is no contact between staff and others in quarantine. “
Air Commodore Darryn Webb, head of isolation and quarantine control (MIQ), says today’s cases are an example of the “working properly” formula.
He described the closure of the hotel as a “precaution”, as other people were confined to his rooms while they were ready to quarantine positive cases.
Unlike Auckland, Sudima is a quarantine and controlled isolation facility, and the instances continue at the hotel.
Webb says more security and nursing will be added, as well as a “special test station for Array”
“The one in this facility is committed to this site and does not paint elsewhere. “
More main points will be released tomorrow, the Ministry of Health said.
Earlier in the day, the Ministry of Health showed another new case of Covid-19, a newcomer staying at a controlled isolation facility in Auckland.
