There has been an increase in the number of positive COVID-19 cases in the recent Premier League testing cycle.
Previously, the highest case recorded six in May. After the start of the new season, each series of checks produced 3 or 4 positive controls.
“The Premier League can verify that between Monday, September 21 and Sunday, September 27, 1,595 players and club personnel have been tested for COVID-19,” it said on the league’s official website.
“Among these, there have been ten new positive tests. Players or clubs that have tested positive will self-insulate for an era of ten days.
“The Premier League provides this aggregated data for the sake of competitive integrity and transparency. No express main points will be provided about clubs or Americans through the League and effects will be made public after a test run. “
David Moyes, Issa Diop and Josh Cullen of West Ham tested positive and Manchester City midfielder ‘lkay Gondo’an also COVID-19 this week.
