Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri welcomed the timely intervention of the local population, which brought more than a part of the 190 passengers to hospitals.

Tuesday’s peak of 1,758 cases raised the number of Covid-19s in Kerala to 47,827, while six other patients brought the death toll to 176.

Amid the accumulation of cases, kerala’s government intensified surveillance, however, many experts said the state needed to focus more on mitigation now, also subtle its testing protocol and conduct more antigen testing and restrict RT-PCR testing.

RT-PCR tests will now be performed for patients with severe respiratory disorders or others from containment spaces in other states or countries.
